All Hail & Welcome to Astro: New Moon #2 in Virgo, Solar Eclipse.  Yes, that’s correct, another New Moon in Virgo. Where we would usually be welcoming in a libra moon, we are in fact still in the sign of the sovereign Virgo for this lunation, at least for another day or so. With this lunation, we may feel a slight overlap of energies as we shift from one sign to another, however this is more likely to be overshadowed by the intense solar eclipse energies. This is the 4^th eclipse along the Virgo-Pisces axis of health & service. Back-to-back Virgo new moons hark back to the moons in Pisces season this year. Offering us a glance back to February & March, what we were preparing for or our ideas at that time. Whatever we were beginning then is now becoming more of an organic part of our daily life. That said, if the position we were in then has not moved forward, we are being encouraged to implement these ideas into practice now. By releasing those parts that were not so successful & becoming resolute in our practice, we encourage learning & growth, making way for creativity & healing to flow into these areas. This Virgo moon is in the last degree of Virgo & is very much about the new beginnings we set ourselves coming into fruition.

New Moon is a time of new beginnings, projects, ideas, fertilisation, initiative & intuitive blasts. We first prepare a bed for our seeds & make it so that our seeds germinate & begin the growing process. We nurture these growing plants by watering them & paying great attention to this process, learning from it & encouraging them to grow more. In much the same way, a 2nd New Moon in the same sign is a time of 2nd chances, new beginnings, restarts & planting seeds of hope, which we as universal beings enter into a contract with the universe to manifest. In the case of this 2^nd New moon, we are being asked to reinforce those ideas & seeds especially if they relate to those made during Pisces season this year. Think back to February & March.

New Moon Virgo represented by the baddass Virgin Goddess who is all about independence & self -sufficiency. She takes care of herself, needs no other to maintain a healthy relationship with her own sacredness, self- care, self -love, loving relationships & relationships with finances, home & work. We are firmly in the grip of Virgo’s organisation station. For some of us, this moon is a 2^nd nudge toward the self-care routine we were thinking about implementing, but are yet to begin. Call it a 2^nd chance to remember to factor ourselves into our schedules. In addition, we may find a new route to a different career prospect as eclipse will highlight an area unseen, whilst it covers what we see & do on a daily basis. Be mindful of quick reactions before seeing the whole bigger picture.

 Virgo is an Earth sign, so there is a lot of ‘grounding’ energy to immerse into. If we need to go barefoot somewhere & feel the Earth energies vibrating through our feet so we can feel our part in this world, remember ourselves & flow in harmony with whichever season of life we are in, then now is our 2^nd chance to do just that. Weave the thread of joy within. We are allowed to be fully aware that we are exactly where we are supposed to be at this time of harmonising. As the Virgin Goddess represents wholeness, we too can advance on this journey to remember ourselves within this great complex of connecting threads. By honouring our sacredness, we are opening ourselves to the energy which we all have inside of us. Listen to our bodies, listen to the wisdom we hold within. Only we know ourselves this well.

In addition, Virgo New Moon ushers in self -dependability, organisation & a welcome recharge. Virgo is all about health, well-being & systematic rearranging. Far from being stuck in a rut, we are being encouraged to get out into nature to ground & find balance for our own health & well-being. We are being kicked up the bottom to get a grip of our daily lives. Virgo wants us to have a good old clear out, physically, mentally & practically. A good home or workspace cleanse to remove all unwanted energies is called for to create space for efficiency & productivity. A deep self cleanse is also being encouraged. This process applies to our minds & bodies also. Schedule something new in, even if only for 5 minutes per day, it will give you the impetus to do more. You will feel the benefit of that positive change in your life almost immediately. Warning here is to not allow Virgo’s obsessiveness to over-compensate in areas of neglect. It pays to pay attention to every area, but not at the risk of obsession. Virgo wants us to set healthy boundaries & realistic targets. This is our final Autumnal wake up call to get organised & efficient.

Partial solar eclipse

A partial solar eclipse occurs when the Earth moves between the Sun and Moon. They do not, however, form a straight line. This looks like a bite has been taken out of the moons surface . A small part of the Moon's surface is covered by the darkest, central part of the Earth's shadow/ umbra. The rest of the Moon is covered by the outer part of the Earth's shadow, the penumbra.

For a partial lunar eclipse to occur, the fololwing conditions must occur

• A Full Moon.

• The Sun, Earth, and Moon must be aligned in almost a straight line.

As this 2^nd Virgo Moon is a solar eclipse, it will highlight the many areas we neglect in our lives, which may become more beneficial if we work with them in mind. This is a call for a reset. Our inner selves’ growth & well-being is of the utmost importance at this point. It is also our learning point of the year. What worked & what did not?

Ask :-

What is no longer serving my highest growth?

What can I do to practice bringing myself to a place of belonging?

How can I practice bringing myself into a space of interconnectedness?

How can I practice sacred self care, honouring the wisdom I carry within?

How can I balance my daily & spiritual life?

Right now, learn to accept what is & that whatever is unravelling for us is for our highest well-being, a soul purpose & true vocation.

This can be a very reactive time, so be mindful of knee jerk reactions & quick decisions. Try to avoid those who are acting out of primal instinct as this can cause more harm than good.

Essentially, we are being asked to prepare ourselves for huge changes in our daily inner & outer lives.      

A Partial Solar eclipse is encouraging us to do a big release so that we make space for connection & learn to trust the forces in play which we may not see daily. Perhaps a vision of ourselves we wish to be, without any old habits, addictions or ways of being. A new position of positive change. With Pisces offering us our dreams & imagination to flow, Virgo is asking us to create the foundations for something real & aligned with a vision of what we want daily life to become. This is the ‘part 2’ of the dreaming, which began in February & March.  It is a point of intention where we can see where we have learned to flow (Pisces) & concentrate our focus (Virgo). Remember, energy flows where focus goes. This is an opportunity for a 2^nd chance at something we have really wanted to happen in our lives. A 2^nd chance to be that version of ourselves we see in our visions.

Planetary influences

As I have mentioned Eclipse brings with it some rare & interesting planetary formations. Last time it was the Yod/‘finger of fate’. This time we have a Yod kite formation which adds its very own edge to the proceedings.

The kite formation involves Sun & New Moon in Virgo , Saturn & Neptune in Pisces amongst the main protagonists. Let’s have a closer look.

Virgo is all about organisation & accuracy, the tools we use in our daily lives. Pisces is a boundless energy of flow, relating to all the tools we use in our spiritual endeavours. We are being encouraged to find balance between our daily lives & routines & our spiritual flow.

Saturn & Neptune are at the tip of the kite which gives us the challenges we will face. These require structure & consolidation to enable flow.

There are 2 Trines which are our points of discovery, development & transformation.

Uranus in Gemini will bring a bit of chaos alongside disturbance leading to a fresh outlook & the bigger picture.

Pluto in Aquarius will bring a powerful deepening influence.

The Trines represent agitation leading to significant transformation.

We may feel as though a lot of pressure has been applied to our lives, however we are being offered a moment of clarity in which we can elevate ourselves to limitlessness. Its in our perception of how we acknowledge limitations, surrender & placing our trust in the energies we do not see, which will give rise to out highest selves & the opportunity for unity of both the mundane & our true vocation. We hold the tools we need to make the changes for our growth. This eclipse & planetary formation could be our big reveal. Are you ready to make that leap of faith into the unknown?
