ASTRO NEW MOON IN SAGITTARIUS

Before I begin, I wish to apologise for sending out the wrong article to my subscribers & to social media. I have been so busy, I failed to notice the correct time & date for the article I had published. We all make mistakes & I accept that, but I can be pretty hard on myself when I am multi-tasking & get something so wrong. So with that said....Here is this months/ years final Astro: New Moon

All Hail & Welcome to Astro: New Moon. This new cycle will embrace the qualities of Sagittarius the archer & we will be under its influence which I shall discuss in this Astro article. As New Moon’s go, this has a wonderful fresh, optimistic air about the mutable fire sign, the Moon is traversing at New phase. Lets have a wander into Sagittarius New Moon....

New Moon is symbolic of the end of the last cycle & the beginning of the new cycle. As it is within nature, we begin again with new cycles, by preparing a good growing space for our seeds of intent to be sown into & grown from. The darkness of the soil acts as fertile ground within which the seed germinates & grows, peeping its head above ground when its ready to grow into our dreams, desires or into that beanstalk we’ve been dreaming of. New Moon is a time for our ideas & desires to come to the fore, for us to act on them, placing them into our fertile minds, which during this phase will be full of energetic forces, initiative & intent for future endeavours. New moon is a symbol of new beginnings, inspired thought & new ideas, the beginning of another 28 day cycle. When a new moon occurs, the sun & moon are sat next to each other quite amicably, in the same sign. Each zodiac sign has its own qualities which are illuminated through the moon when it sits in that sign. Here, we begin a new cycle at new moon in the sign of the seeker, the archer, Sagittarius.

Sagittarius, the archer is depicted by the half horse, half man Centaur, who carries with him his bow & arrow. The significance of his weapon to our lives is connected to the direction in which we desire to move to either maintain our course or to change to our new pathway toward our authenticity & fresh, adventure in life or especially given the time of year to point inward for reflection. On the positive side of Sagittarius, we have optimism, adventure, drive, assertiveness, intellect & independence which is on offer to us. However, let us also be aware of the negative sides to avoid becoming unstuck or mistaken. These are carelessness, tactlessness, impatience, over-confidence, speaking before thinking or reading the situation improperly before commenting. I’m sure that if any of us can recognise these symptoms of Sagittarius’ negative side, we can be sure to avoid those feelings or people acting out the same. That said, a quiet confidence in what we are working toward helps to keep us positive. As a fire sign, Sagittarius needs to be in touch with its surroundings, to experience as much as possible because freedom is Sagittarius’ greatest prize.

Sagittarius is expansive & on the positive side of its qualities we can begin this cycle focusing on our aspirations which help us increase our comprehension, awareness & confidence, by harnessing the strength & courage to broaden our perspective. We must avoid the mundane details which we would usually spend time over, to attain the bigger picture of our dream, as these will incur the cost of over indulging perfectionism. Sagittarius thinks on the larger side, so be mindful of expectation. Remember that we are preparing the ground for seeds to germinate in, to grow, whether that be over this phasing of the moon or over a longer period of time, to fruition & a good harvest. So we need to be optimistic, not over expectant.

New Moon in Sagittarius is a great new moon to focus on new beginnings & how we would like them to proceed. We are being offered new experiences, expansion & adventure. This will allow us to view a larger perspective & understanding of what is possible from that view.

Planetary influences

This moon is influenced by the loose conjunctions of Venus & Mars to the Moon. This will highlight creative energies & support.

A Square to Saturn & Neptune can mean blocking our efforts for change.

Uranus lines up in Quincunx, which could also support the Saturn/ Neptune hurdles put in place, keeping us away from beginning anything new.

Perhaps leave the new beginnings to new intentions & a new years new moon in Capricorn.
