We have experienced this year’s Lionsgate portal peak with its transformative energies bursting to offer us so much in terms of divine communication & change. Are you in the right head & heart-space to receive gifts from the universe? We have reached a potent time of our turning wheel, in which harvest time is truly upon us. Lughnasa/Lammas & the beginnings of August place us firmly into a time where the bough is heavily laden with fruits of the Mother Earth, who revels in the glory of her fecundity & in the full potency of the Sun. The Sun is in recession, but only just, & this month it is still a potent force of effect. The trees are showing signs of turning as we rotate our way through the seasonal changes which, if we are in tune to them, will affect our lives also. Our seeds are coming to fruit & what was sown earlier in the year will now be ripening for the harvest. ‘You reap what you sow’ is always on my mind at this time of year & what a year it has been so far! Now is the time to learn from mistakes or that which did not work out so well, & to share the knowledge of what we have gleaned from our hard work and service & to leave behind that which has not been effective in our lives.

Our beautiful celestial conduit will be entering its dark & new phase over the next week. The balsamic/ dark moon phase has an astonishing energy of its own. As in wintertime, mother nature retreats to her cavern to embark on inner workings & journeying, so does the moon have a rest period, as do we, And so it is! This is the phase of the crone & a time of transition & wisdom in the darkness of our cavernous wombspace.  A time of thinking & practice, utilising our intuition & farseeing abilities.

As we transition to new moon & that beautiful silver slither in the sky, we become more aware of what we wish to see to fruition, that which we have received visions of, our beckoning destined path to journey. This is a good time for preparation, initiating ideas or preparing improved plans to move forward with. New moon is the end of one lunar cycle & the beginning of a new 28 day cycling.

In this cavern-space, we have discovered our personal truths & now in newness, it is time to act on this knowledge, feeling, intuitive blast! We may be feeling the blasts of intuition & vivid dreams more intensely with new moon Leo & a Total Solar eclipse.

Leo moon is a highly creative & extremely powerful moon. This is a good time for all things Leo such as improving our relationships with our lovers, our hobbies, relationships with children, creative ventures & building our self-confidence. Leo encourages the ‘inner child’ within us to reactivate & for us to have fun, laugh & play in a carefree way. So now is the best time for, time off , a holiday or to begin new creative projects which help us to believe in ourselves & our abilities to achieve happiness in our lives.

It is time for us to give ourselves a pat on the back for all our hard work, by taking some pride in ourselves. Learning our lessons & moving on with love in our hearts is also on the cards. Leo is a heart-space sign so, has a huge amount of love to give, but Leo can also be offended easily. It’s a good idea to stay away from ego centred anything at this time. As we are on a regal journeying with the zodiac’s drama queen, it is perhaps a good idea to keep our own ego in check. Leo is all about the self, ‘me’ whilst amplifying ego & pride. We may find an overpowering urge to express ourselves without restriction, so watch for this dominant energy in group settings as it serves only the one & not the mass. Think before you let loose the Queen! Leo has fabulous energies to work with & as always, a facet which is not so great, so it’s always good to find the balance which shouldn’t be so hard with Sun & Moon together in Leo. The positives are courage, kindness, generosity, loyalty, protection, no bars honesty! Entertainment, passion, romance, expression & playfulness are all Leo aspects we can & should revel in. However, always good to be on the lookout for the negative traits, so as to find the balance needed for a smoother journeying. Leo energy encourages us to step up into leadership mode & to own our sovereignty. In this case a good idea to retake control of what’s happening in our personal arena’s. Lionsgate portal was activated when the star Sirius, rose. Many of our ancestors tracked this phenomenon & considered Sirius our spiritual Sun. It was believed an intense portal of change, rebirth, spiritual progression & abundance, allowing movement into a higher state of consciousness. Lionsgate peaked on the date 8/8 which is the number representing infinity, in numerology. So, we can see that so many portents have been read to explain the invigorating energy of this particular cosmic event. It is hard to ignore the intensity of this energetic vibration.

Moreover, we have a Total Solar Eclipse, which symbolises the discovering the hidden. A Total Solar Eclipse occurs when the moon, at its closest orbit to the Earth, will move between the Earth & Sun to obscure the Sun for a short while. The spiritual significance of an eclipse is that which is hidden within us comes to light for us to acknowledge, accept & sometimes release. It is a time within which we can see our shadow & confront what comes to us as medicine & healing. In addition, it is a cosmic portal of transformation. Yes, I know, we have just experienced the peak of one of the year’s longest portals in the Lionsgate which peaked on the 8^th. This Eclipse portal is offering us the turning point we need to invest in the revelations we received this month already. Releasing old beliefs, breaking cycles karmic or otherwise, spiritual awakenings & beginning anew are all earmarked for this eclipse. It seems a lot for just a few minutes of darkness, but eclipse energy can carry into the following 6 months as we recalibrate our lives & traverse our newly laid path. There is also the fact that whilst the egocentric Sun is covered by the emotional, compassionate Moon, we have the ability to balance our inner duality to our outer existence & reality, giving us the initiative for spiritual alignment & restoration of both sides of our nature. Eclipse can be a huge wake up call to fulfil our destiny, reach goals, change our lives if that is what is highlighted for us. We have our individual journeys, so this will mean something different for each of us. To many of us the Eclipse is an amplifier of energy we put out & it is very important to think before doing, especially if what we desire concerns, manipulates or involves others. In addition, it also has the potential to completely change where we thought we ought to be or how we thought things would turn out.  The potential is so huge this year with this eclipse following so closely behind Lionsgate peak. In as much as this is a time of spiritual heightening, it is also a good time for clearing & cleansing, discovering the hidden & flipping the switch on current reality.

Mercury is in Leo very loosely conjunct Sun & Moon – boosting confidence creativity & communication. Be mindful, over confidence can cause miscommunications, hard feelings & taking things the wrong way. Too bold can be too brash, watch for ego, arrogance & conflict. Use creative communication of the non-verbal type, allowing time to consider thoughts before responding.
