Astro: New Moon in Aquarius

All Hail & Welcome to Astro: New Moon & 6 planet Stellium in Aquarius. We are fast reaching the end of another year of the wheel of the Zodiac. This is by no means a meagre finalé! We have a Stellium to consider. A Stellium is a line up of planets all within one zodiac sign. This is no ordinary Stellium, as the moon moves into new phase in Aquarius, there are another 5 planets in conjunction in Aquarius. This indicates a huge surge of planetary energy concentrated around one area. Although each planet has its own aspects & energies, whilst within a Stellium, they merge their energies & become a huge field of energetic potential, also known as a portal. Portals are areas of intense energy which allow us to transform, areas of ourselves & our lives to increase our personal and spiritual capabilities. With this energy, we may feel pushed or pulled by one energy to concentrate on that one area, or we may find ourselves obsessing about something. A Stellium can have you overwhelmed, especially if you do not recognise its energy. These are fabulous portals which help to build momentum in certain areas of our lives. So, if you do tap into this immense dynamism, know that whatever you are focusing on will expand, so be careful what you are deepening. Within this Aquarian spirit, we may feel more compelled toward Aquarian aspects of innovation, technology, humanitarianism or social restructure. In addition, the feelings we experienced around the time of the great conjunction of December at Winter solstice, may rear up again. More in depth info later in the article, for now….
Let us discuss this New Moon in Aquarius….
New Moon is the ending of one cycle & the beginning of a new lunar cycle of 28 days. New Moon is a time of setting intentions, for the month or year ahead. As we are closing one Zodiac wheel & approaching the beginning of another, we may find ourselves in a state of mental & physical exhaustion. I know I have been surprisingly deep into my reserves this month already, with my body & mind screaming for me to just stop for a moment. I’m listening, are you? We maybe requiring rest and the need to focus on ourselves a little more. Self care, forgiveness & clearing out old resentments are all on the cards. It is most important for us to concentrate on these areas each month if we can, as it helps us to formulate & grow. New Moon Aquarius is time for the logical mind. For us to come away from emotionally led actions, closing the mind chatter & allowing our thoughts to drift into the positives & to what makes us feel good.
So we prepare the soil for another planting session. We have learned by our mistakes & what didn’t work is now being eliminated, if it has not been already. We are on the verge of planting seeds for a future we can see is far better than the one in which we find ourselves. It is all for the betterment of us or our surroundings. We are co-creating with the cosmos a vision & setting an intention to get to the end we have envisaged. We are readying for the resurgence, as Mother Earth, we have been in a moment of deep healing & learning, recognising & reconnecting to our inner well of being. It is almost time time to bounce back with deeper meaning & huge potentiality, a great energy that is getting ready to burst forth with the buds & blooms of springtime is bubbling up inside of us. It may not feel that way, but be assured, that if we have performed our inner work & explored our shadow self over this past season, the energy is there. Remember that not all blooms appear at the same time, so although you may witness some people surging forth with their ideas & new projects, this does not mean that you have to rush yourself, rather feel into whatever is waiting to be birthed & go with that inner flow of your own resurging energy. There is no need to compete. Every blossom has its moment & it will bloom no matter the competition.
With a strong influence of energy culminating in ourselves, we also look to the cosmos. The Aquarian Stellium coming into our view will have us focusing on that which we need to expand. For some of us this will be self healing, for others a creative endeavour, personal issues, or a move in one way or another. Ask yourself what will you choose to focus on? Where will you be in a position of expansion? Can you welcome in the necessary changes that support your growth? If you can work with Aquarian energies at this time you will find expansion & amplification.

Sun is all about our self image, willpower, ego, the energy we put out into the world for others to see. The Sun is your personal driving force, the giver of light & life.
Saturn governs commitment, discipline, longevity, integrity, known as the taskmaster of the zodiac, gets the job done, likes to encourage you to work hard for your rewards. Saturn makes you face the hard truth and is also known as the planet of karma.
Jupiter expands what you focus on. Everything it touches is blessed with confidence & personal belief. It amplifies & in its positive aspects are faith, excitement, adventure, joy & expansion. Jupiter governs expansion, freedom, travel, wisdom, abundance & good luck. The 2 sides to Jupiter are carefree, jolly & happy or the seeker of the meaning of life. Jupiter can encourage you to see morals, confidence & luck vs lack of all.
Mercury Rx retrograde gives us a slowing down or flip side to Mercurial aspects. We are all aware that Mercury governs communications however, it also rules intelligence, wit, thoughts, want of knowledge, desire, transportation the ability to learn.
Venus is the planet of love & finances. She can be all about the money! Loving, gentle & caring but also lazy, manipulative & sometimes weak willed. Venus is about pleasure, caresses, kindness, perfection & ideal relationships. She respects the finer things, attraction who & what you love, appreciation, arts, beauty, music, luxury, partnership, eroticism. Knowing what you want & what you need is a Venus trait. Venus is the divine feminine. Self care is also a Venusian trait, so give yourself some love!
So what are you tapping into? What is it you wish to focus on? What do you wish to expand? Are you ready for the changes which are necessary & on offer to you right now?
Of course, there is a hard aspect to consider. Its never straight forward is it?
Once again Mars is on the scene square to the luminaries , attempting to throw difficulty in tapping into this huge energy potential. One thing to look out for is impulsiveness, as this is a sure sign Mars is within your personal parameters. Remember, anything that has been given time & nurturing will grow naturally & does not need forcing or impulsion to get it to emerge.
A quick word on the global implications of this cosmic ordering in Aquarius: the last time we saw a Stellium such as this was in the early 1960’s, when the birth of the Hippie freedom movement began! Maybe after all of this confinement we’ll really experience the expansion of the mind & outside congregation to look forward to as well as EQUALITY, COMMUNITY & PEACE…en masse please! :)
Perhaps its time to show some love, we have the virtual capacity to do this worldwide right now! Is this the door to a new wave of thought, innovation, action & expansion we’ve been waiting for? Do we shower love on the here & now or perpetuate that which we have found difficult, annoying & restricting about our past & present, thus birthing it into our future? Or will we take the opportunity to to free our minds from imposed constraints & become free thinkers & communicators, without constraint on our ephemeral movements? Freeing the mind is a way to freeing the body & soul from restriction.
However you shine your light from this event, always remember that we are part of a bigger picture & our healing energy can be utilised by encompassing the planet & all sentience. By forgiving those who are intent on destroying that which we all need, with a view to accountability & re-educating those minds. To recognise what we, need as a whole community, need to be personally & need to teach the next generations. How to live in respect of the Mother Earth who gives us everything unconditionally. Sprinkle some of your personal energies on this intent & we can be proud of the legacy we have created, lived by & left for those who come after us. One day, we too will be the ancestors.
