Astro Article: New Moon In Aquarius January 2020
All Hail & welcome to January’s New Moon article. Our beautiful Moon enters full phase on 24 January 2020 at 21:42 GMT. There is such a lot still going on astrologically. I would like to begin discussing the ingredients of our mixture before cooking up an astrological interpretation. Therefore, let me break it all down into bite-size reading. New Moon
Moon phases are generally known as waxing and waning which describes the luminosity of the moon and the power or influence it has during each phase. A new moon appears as a thin silver slither a bit like the letter D, with the right side illuminated. We begin at new moon with preparing the ground for seed planting, the setting of new intentions or ideas you wish to work with and bring to fruition. These seeds carry with them your hopes which when planted will gestate in synchronicity with the moons phases. New Moon is an exciting time for new beginnings which is accompanied by a sense of childlike excitement, an enthusiastic burst of energy which allows us to work faster and more furiously toward our goals, but be mindful of lacking self-care. This is the phase where we will generate our ideas and plan projects. We may feel the need to soul search in order to discover personal truths. Whatever our wants and wishes for our month or the year ahead, this is the time to be setting and planting our seeds of hope. Be assertive, be adventurous and be curious about your intentions. This is the beginning of Your year, where you step into your manifesting self and remain positive about your vision. This month our new moon goes hand in hand with airy Aquarius, so our hopes may also be carried on the winds of change…

Aquarius

Aquarius is an Air sign of revolution and humanitarianism. There is a theme of thinking outside of the box and standing up to be counted. Progressive ideas, intellect and the want to be of service for the greater good are being encouraged. New beginnings, exciting plans, planning adventure, deep soul searching and discovering your truths are also relevant at the time of Aquarian energies. As Aquarius is also the first sign in a new year, it is also a good time to really finalise your annual intentions. Try to avoid the negatives of Aquarius, that is extremism, poor temperament and aloofness. These attitudes could get you in trouble. In keeping with the Aquarian energies, allow a broader image, the big picture which Aquarius is encouraging us to look at in more detail.
Planetary aspects (associated with) January New Moon in Aquarius.
Jupiter, Pluto, Saturn, Ceres are all in Capricorn. This brings us opportunity to step into our true self, to be who we really are and reflect the persona that we wish to project as an actuality and no longer an illusion or idea. This alignment in Capricorn signals a fortuitous time for committing to successful projects, particularly if you can remain positive throughout the manifestation period. In some cases this is immediate and in others may take some time in the fruition. Nevertheless, manifesting will be expanding and revolutionary to your being and what you put out there to the collective. There is strength and healing on offer too, so grab it whilst its there if you need it.
Uranus in Taurus: Uranus rules Aquarius. This aspect will encourage a broadening view toward our relationship with the planet and our accountability, to make the necessary changes in our lives and awareness and to that of the broader spectrum of humanity. Uranus can bring unexpected surprises or chaos, depending on your reaction to situations. If in doubt, think before you react or respond. Think of the bigger picture.

The New Moon is in the sign of the water bearer, air sign Aquarius. After the mad intense energies we’ve been experiencing over the past month, with energies from a solar and lunar eclipse, planetary alignments and being in the realms of Capricorn, we may find a lighter and more refreshing breeze breathing life back into us. That cool air of Aquarius can sooth the heat created by the end of the old year and ease the blood, sweat and tears from the beginning of a new year. In addition, Aquarius brings a sense of the future to us. Right now in the present moment we are being encouraged to look at life and think outside the box. What adventure suits you this year? Where do you want to be by the end of this year? What do you hope for? What opportunities are you going to grab at? How will you get to where you’re heading? This is the sign of optimism, unconventionality, individuality and unique authenticity. It heralds the waxing energy of the Sun reflecting into our lives and the stirrings of our own personal energies during our time of rest. The renewal and awakening which has been taking place is potently reflected back to us at this time of year and position of the zodiac.

Aquarius new moon carries change on the wind and yes, even more awakenings! To go with this flow is to remain broad minded and adaptable. Adjust to this Aquarian flow by being proactive and accommodating of change. Remember, Change is necessary for development, knowledge and wisdom, for things to move on especially if it comes at a time of lacuna. If you have been asking for signs, this will be one of those times, so pay attention to offers of change that come up in your life and act on them in a positive manner. You may find some clarity with this new moon, perhaps you feel that change is a good thing to produce new opportunities for you to reach your goals this year and you would be correct in thinking this way. This is a good moon for breaking those bad habits or to change damaging habitual behaviours. The Aquarius New moon is revolutionary and wants us to step up into our truest potential, to reclaim ourselves by our own rules, to live and be free.
