ASTRO: NEW MOON IN BADDASS VIRGO

ASTRO: NEW MOON IN VIRGO

14/09/23 @ 2:40 GMT

All Hail & Welcome to Astro: New Moon in Virgo. Time seems to pass too quickly & now as we approach this darker time of year, we are being ushered into our true callings, into a space of belonging & into finding the golden inner thread of happiness. Although there are beautiful energies calling out to us, there are also planetary influences which we need to be aware of in the cosmic playing out of all things. Let us embark on our journey through this cosmic energy by beginning with what New Moon symbolises. We will then proceed to the beautifully fierce protector, Virgo, before discussing all things planetary. As our moon is the conduit through which we receive cosmic energy we will begin our journey with our beautiful celestial being.

New Moon is a time of new beginnings, projects, ideas, fertilisation, initiative & intuitive blasts. We first prepare a bed for our seeds & make it so that our seeds germinate & begin the growing process. We nurture these growing plants by watering them & paying great attention to this process, learning from it & encouraging them to grow more. In much the same way, a New Moon is a time of new beginnings, restarts & planting seeds of hope, which we as universal beings enter into a contract with the universe to manifest. Manifestation is a reciprocal relationship we have with the universal flow of energy. As long as we work toward what we have put out there energetically & keep in mind the end result, we will be in receipt of that goodness. New moon is a time of setting boundaries, intentions & plans for the future.

This new Moon is in the sign of Virgo & is represented by the Virgin Goddess & lets get this right, she is no mean feat! This badass Goddess is all about independence & self sufficiency. She takes care of herself & needs no other to maintain a healthy relationship with her own sacredness, self care, self love, loving relationships & relationships with finances, home & work. We have reached the organisation station of our journeying this year. For some of us this New Moon also marks a move toward the end of the year, October to December is a time full of endings & retraction to inner caves for our shadow workings & dormancy. Unfortunately, we do not exist this way in our regular society, so there is no support for those of us who do or need to, other than from the Mother Earth herself & those who fervently protect her.

Virgo is an Earth sign, so there is a lot of ‘get yourself grounded’ energy to be immersing into. We need to go barefoot somewhere & feel the Earth energies vibrating through our feet, the Grandmother drum thumping out heart signature vibrations, sink into it, so we can feel our part in this world as we remember ourselves & flow in harmony with whichever season of life we are in. Honour the self & the Mother with purity & an open heart & begin to weave the thread of joy within. Allowing ourselves to be fully aware that we are exactly where we are supposed to be at this time will help us in the process of harmonising. The Virgin Goddess represents wholeness & so we advance on this journey to remember ourselves within this great complex of connecting threads. By honouring our sacredness, we are opening ourselves to the energy of the Virgin Goddess which we all have inside of us. Listen to our bodies, listen to the wisdom we hold within. Only we know ourselves this well.

In addition, Virgo New Moon ushers in self dependability, organisation & a welcome recharge. Virgo is all about health, well-being & systematic rearranging. Far from being stuck in a rut, we are being encouraged to get out into nature to ground & find balance for our own health & well-being. We are being kicked up the bottom to get a grip of our daily lives. Virgo wants us to have a good old clear out, physically, mentally & practically. A good home or workspace cleanse to remove all unwanted energies is called for to create space for efficiency & productivity. This process applies to our minds & bodies also. So once you have that space cleared, its time to reschedule yourself into your routine! Look for the things which do not work for you. The type of food which makes you sluggish, get rid! The lack of motivation around exercise or beginning that new workout? Schedule something new in, even if only for 5 minutes per day, as this will give you the impetus to do more & you will feel the benefit of that positive change in your life almost immediately. Warning here is to not allow Virgo’s obsessiveness to over-compensate in areas of neglect. For example, try not to allow cleaning & clearing the home or workspace to prevent you from allowing that, self love & care, routine you had in mind to timetable into your more productive days. It pays to pay attention to every area, but not at the risk of obsession. Virgo wants us to have words with ourselves about setting healthy boundaries & realistic targets. This is our Autumnal wake up call to get organised & efficient.

This is a call for a reset. Our inner selves’ growth & well-being is of the utmost importance at this point.

Ask :-

What is no longer serving my highest growth?

What can I do to practice bringing myself to a place of belonging?

How can I practice bringing myself into a space of interconnectedness?

How can I practice sacred self care, honouring the wisdom I carry within?

We must learn to talk with our mind & body, asking what it requires & what nourishes & what makes for hard processing. This can be food, exercise, self care, clarity. Right now, learn to accept what is & that whatever is unravelling for us is for our highest well-being, a soul purpose.

This can be a very reactive time, so be mindful of knee jerk decisions.

Planetary influences

New Moon opposite Neptune in Pisces - in opposition is more of a tug of war between the two planets. The Moon is intuitive, nurturing, instinctual, inner thought, self talk, the past. Neptune is a relative of Venus, so love, money, passions, beauty all come into play. However, Neptune is also the illusionist of the zodiac & can play part of our coping mechanisms & higher states of consciousness. Neptune is in its home of Pisces, but in retrograde, which can encourage us towards old habits & avoidance behaviours. Neptune's Rx deals with dreams, intuition & creativity. This could mean being in a place of ‘dreams come true’ or escapism. The line is a thin one to tread so being mindful of how we are feeling around situations, events, people can help us to recognise triggers, also encouraging us to go within & use reflection & receptivity as a path to your truth. Illusion can be exposed leaving truth laid bare.

New Moon Trine (working together) Uranus transiting Taurus helps us to add more productivity , to discover alternative possibilities through thinking outside the box. We can take baby steps, work differently & remain in our comfort zone all at the same time.

The flip side of Uranus, whist it is in retrograde can be chaotic, unpredictable & shocking. Time to take to some inner work on how you envisage your freedom & what is in need of change to enable this.

Ceres enters Scorpio 15th September - be mindful of personal care, nourishing all of yourself, accessing any resources or support you may need. Avoiding burnout.

So we have come to the end of another cosmic adventure. My gratitude for joining me. I wish you well on your travels through the next two weeks. Join me for Full Harvest Moon in Aries the sign of the Ram, on or near 29 September 2023.

In gratitude, love, light & all betwixt

Sheela
