Astro: New Moon in Dreamy Flowing Pisces

All Hail & welcome back to Astro: New Moon in Dreamy, flowing Pisces. Firstly, I would like to apologise for not publishing the last Astro: Full Moon article. Unfortunately I caught the dreaded Covid & was completely out of action. I am still suffering some of the after effects of the virus, so I am going to keep this article short & sweet, just like me! I'm sure you understand. Secondly, we have some beautiful & yet serious energies coming our way so its time to be aware & brace yourself for transformative forces to make some well needed changes.
New Moon is the ending of the old cycle & the beginning of a brand new 28 days of lunations. The moon's lunations have an effect on all flora & fauna, including us. Our tides & the soil in which we plant seeds change condition with the moons lunations, even down to spring tides & the best planting days of the month. As we prepare the soil for seeds of intention & plant them into the dark soil, we visualise a great bounty to come. This is how we manifest our desires from the dark fertile land of our minds through to practical nurturing & finally to bountiful harvest. You reap what you sow & sowing is one very important part of this process. New Moon gives us a surge of new ideas & initiative, enough to find successful pathways toward healing, ending old habits & moving away from damaging beliefs & behaviour. Fresh ideas flow freely & new projects have a mind all of their own. It is a time of planning, forward thinking & visualisation. In addition, the darkness of New Moon will urge us toward inner workings. Whatever has been bothering us this past season or whatever historical wound has surfaced, has done so for the purpose of our own healing & encouragement. Our forward movement needs a clear path revealed for the next step to be taken honestly & authentically for our truest self to prosper. The universe unveils the things we can deal with at just the right time. Trust your instincts!

New Moon in Pisces. We have reached the finale of the Zodiac wheel. Pisces is the final sign of the cycle and it heralds the end of old and beginning of new energies. We have been in our reclusion period now for a season in which we have mimicked the mother Earth’s energies by retreating and working on our inner selves, our darkness and shadow selves. It is in the darkness we can formulate & create by journeying through the shadow, to connect to our deepest emotions & facing whatever has been nudging at us. In so doing, we can unveil ourselves on a new level, enabling us to push past blockages & moving into a more fulfilling place in our lives. We are in a place of regeneration, where we can allow ourselves to do just that in our roles as creatrix. Remember the seed planted in the dark fertile soil which bursts forth to become? That is us in this process of metamorphoses. We have that feeling of ending the old and yet a rising energy of youthful expectation of what is to come. With this in mind we may be feeling reflective, as though we need to unpack that which didn't work & learn its lesson to move forward. The gentle knowing flow of Piscean energy is very potent at New Moon, so our intuition will be heightened. Trust your instincts & go with your own authentic flow. This potent Pisces energy has the power to encourage real life transformations. You can really be yourself with Pisces New Moon, no more hiding that quirky, loveable nature, come out & celebrate yourself & all your perfect imperfections, as well as those of others. Life would be dull if we all hid in man-made beige boxes ! Show me your colours, your iridescence, your effervescence, the real YOU!
Planetary Influences
New Moon Conjunct (in the same sign within a few degrees) Sun. Both luminaries in the same sign indicates a balancing of inner & outer worlds.
New Moon conjunct Jupiter is a favourable aspect indicating good fortune & growth in areas such as spirituality, material & personal life. Jupiter expands that which it touches, in this case our sensitivities & some of Jupiter’s more negative qualities; greed, immorality, excess; be aware if these qualities raise their heads in your personal sphere & of those around you. Moreover, It offers optimism & the possibility of improving health & well-being, happiness, wealth & success. This conjunction favours beginning new projects, new relationships, investments & personal development; long distance travel, law, philosophy, higher education & spiritual pursuits.
Mercury Conjunct Saturn brings a more profound energy & responsibility. There is potential for pessimism, nastiness & criticism, depression & isolation.
Finally the more inclusive conjunction of Venus-Mars-Pluto. This trio will create an intensity like no other! This is potentially the most powerful aspect of this phase. The potency of this conjunction can be very destructive, so it is imperative that we use this energy wisely & productively. If it feels as though you are taking in too much of this trio’s force, perhaps come away from the norm & practice something creative, which leads in the direction of personal change & transformation. This is a powerhouse trio of change.
Venus Conjunct Mars = passion & creativity +++; higher sex drive; charisma; spontaneity; movement & physical creativity are favoured, so go socialise, dance & create!
Venus conjunct Pluto = a need for more attention & love, to feel deeply into existing relationships; possible obsessions, guilt tripping, jealousy, possessiveness, out of control compulsions.
Mars Conjunct Pluto = amplifies & intensifies ambition, sex drive; desires & want for power. This could lead to ruthlessness, aggression, intimidation, outrage, violence. Be mindful!
