Astro New Moon in Gemini

All hail & welcome to Astro New Moon in Gemini. I hope that you have navigated a clear way through any issues that may have arisen at the last two lunation's of New & Full Moons. We have arrived at our next adventure through the cosmic energies on offer to us here on Mother Earth. Our celestial luminary is in the sign of Gemini which is represented by the twins, one mortal & the other immortal, symbolising both sides of ourselves, the physical body & ego & the spirit body of soul. Given the erratic nature of the energies we have been in receipt of recently, it bodes well to keep this in mind & to work toward an equilibrium between them. Let’s begin our journey through New Moon in Gemini….
New Moon is a new cycle in which we prepare for planting seeds of intention of that which we wish to manifest into our realities. It is a time of fresh ideas, innovation & physical movement toward that end. Before acting, we need to consider our why’s & where for’s of forming a new idea. In addition, this is a great time to take a look at our personal desires, which run tandem with Gemini’s more positive traits. Patience & planning are virtuous at this moment in time & the verve we have from our experiences must be given time for us to feel into. We need time to immerse ourselves into what has presented itself to us, before we run forward. As Gemini is governed by Mercury, communication skills are also on the cards for us. This embodies how we offer a listening ear to others without judgement or solutions. It is about being present for others to feel safe & vulnerable in our presence.
Furthermore ,we may suffer a bit of brain fog. This could be more to do with an aspecting Neptune of illusion & a square up between Gemini’s ruler Mercury & Saturn, more on that later.….
With Sun & Moon in Gemini, we are being asked to find the equilibrium between our ego & inner wisdom.
June is the home of midsummer, so right now we are in the brightest time of year, fully illuminated in our external world, surrounded by the abundance of Gaia herself. This new moon is in the sign of Gemini.
Gemini is a flexible Air sign, governed by Mercury of communications, change, liberation & rebellion! Gemini is an engaging sign with a curious nature. This can be a moment of entertainment & creativity, generosity & charm. We may find our motivation right about now & it is a good idea to use this force for our wellbeing at the moment. We may want to fully express ourselves but may find we lack force to do so. Right now self care is important & that is ok. In fact, rest, reorient & reorganisation will really help us in preparing for that boost from inertia that we crave so much. We need to tap into our new found revelations & transformations & feel fully comfortable with them before surging on. Allowing ourselves time to take our time is very important to developing a routine, which will fully benefit us on all levels & secure better developed decisions. Keeping the mind clutter free is a task in itself, with added brain fog, it may feel an almost impossible task. Focus on keeping the mind in check by recognising self sabotage, negative & repetitive thoughts & actions by practising being in the present moment, also be on guard for anyone guiding us to do something we may not feel great about, so a bit of self preservation is also key to finding our life balance. Gemini will present us with a gentle nudge & much more airy energy which is on offer to us to tap into. Remember both sides of us are begging to become more balanced & as such able to work together harmoniously. The Gemini avatar of the twins (immortal & mortal) represent the duality of our existence. As humans we have taught ourselves to see things as good & acceptable or bad & unacceptable, for us & our experience. As spiritual beings we understand that our experiences form a visionary part of the bigger picture & our purpose. We must keep this in mind as we traverse this next few weeks. Gemini is asking that we slow down & recognise our own impatience, so that we can fully process our new processes. Go into nature, walk barefoot, enjoy the outside, feel gratitude for that which we have in our lives right now & that which is moving us forward. Furthermore, Gemini is the sign of the mind, communication & mental agility, so expect more of these traits as the weeks unfold.
Planetary aspects
Neptune of illusions square both Sun & Moon could indicate a need to be mindful of the veil of deceit placed by others in order to get you to do things that may not feel right to you. Coercion comes in many forms & sometimes from the least expected places, so be aware of Neptune’s darker side. Neptune also has the ability to make things look different to what they are first perceived to be, so be careful to align with honesty rather than be fooled by illusion. If in doubt, go within & listen to you inner intuition. Trust your instincts. Neptune calls for us to find clarity from within.
New Moon Semi Square Jupiter of expansion can usher in new & expansive beginnings & also great emotion.
Sun Semi Square Jupiter ego ego ego! Watch it here as Jupiter can increase the ego exponentially. Keep in check by recognising exaggerated ideas, overconfidence & aggressive takeovers.
Mercury square Saturn brings us some lessons in communications; how we listen & act toward others, when they are in need of an impartial ear. Listen with compassion, without judgement & without attempting to unravel solutions. Maybe this somebody just needs someone to listen & not do!
As New moon approaches Saturn goes retrograde giving added karmic teachings which may relate back to March 2023. Good idea if you journal to revisit what was going on for you.
Pluto gets a look in too with an underlying gentle energy allowing transformations in our relationships.
The two Goddess asteroids Juno of committed partnerships & Ceres of abundant harvests are both indicating healing & partnerships or healing within partnerships.
So we have come to the end of another Astro article adventure through the cosmic energies on offer to us. Those things which are highlighted during this moon-phase may be confusing to begin with, but over the next few weeks will become clearer to us.
