Astro New Moon in Taurus

All hail & Welcome to New Moon in Taurus 2024. At last, the 2nd sign of the zodiac takes its humble turn in Moon time cycle, where we will feel into all this sensual sign has to offer us. That steady hoof , the heartbeat of the Grandmother drum which resonates through all of us, time immemorial, through the ages & generations, through each of our lineages & to us, through our Mother planet, to us & reciprocally back & forth through each of our guides & ancestors. Oh Great joy of understanding, nurturing & respect for all we have on this amazing journeying of life. I suspect you can tell that a Taurus New Moon is one of my favourites to feel into because of all it has to offer us in so many different ways. Of course this is how I am feeling about this lunation. How will you feel into this new cycle’s flow?
New moon conjunct Sun in Taurus. The Moon & Sun are in the same sign, complimenting each other. New Moon is the time for new beginnings & signifies an end to the Aries moon cycle, to begin anew the Taurus moon cycle. It gives us a burst of energy and resourcefulness in addition to emotional balance, quite the opposite of full moon aspect. New Moon is an excellent time for fresh starts, beginning a new project, reassessing old habits & making the necessary changes. This New Moon phase is in Taurus, the sign of the Bull, allowing us to tap into what we want that fulfils us & gives us a sense of security. Time to get out of the mental head-space which the last few cycles have had us in & into a more easy going heart space.
Taurus is earthy, grounded, stable, dependable & strong. Its ruler is Venus who governs harmony, love & finances, so these areas will be highlighted with this moon phase. There is something quite exceptional about Taurus’ influence, something gentle , patient, generous & sensual. As the 2nd sign of the Zodiac, it is fixed & able to keep up momentum. Taurus offers laid back energy, rather than panic mode. This is a moon of self love as much as any other love. A moon when you can treat yourself & not be guilty of selfishness, but be careful not to overindulge, one of Taurus’ not so good traits. Taurus New Moon is asking us to pay attention to ourselves, to retreat & allow energy restoration within. We will use these energies as a power up for what is to come. We are being encouraged to allow these energies to flow to where they are needed most rather than directing the force to where we think it is necessary. Its time to get out of the head & into the heartspace. Find our centre & ground, walk barefoot on the ground, sand, grass, allowing ourselves to feel into & welcome the current of creativity & intuitive energies to flow through us unconditionally. New Moon Taurus is a good time to reflect on & commit to our personal goals, to enjoy the simple pleasures life offers us such as, good food, getting out into nature, evaluating our safety & security & what works harmoniously for us. There is also energy which will offer us the chance to make important changes in our lives, make solid plans for sowing seeds for reaping abundance later in the year. This is a great time to reassess our relationships to money & the material, ultimately helping us to uncover what it is that makes us really happy & content.
We have been experiencing a tumultuous energies within eclipse season. This New Taurus Moon is our anchor, as it is the first ‘regular’ new moon since the eclipse energies of the past couple of months. As the chaos settles, we gain clarity, a new perspective emerges, new vibrations felt into. This new moon is here to guide us to balance & steady how we have exited the eclipse stage. Taurus wants us to find balance & steadiness. Feel into areas of discomfort, as these are indicators of lack of’s & insecurities. Paying attention to these areas can only aid in self awareness & personal growth:

This is a time to truly ground oneself to connect to a state of least resistance. This is a time to recalibrate ourselves with the vibration we truly wish to generate & project. We are being encouraged to work on the areas we find most difficult to deal with on a daily basis & welcome in any helpful advice we can utilise for our own empowerment & comfort. This is our helping hand to better confidence & knowledge that we are in a much better place of control over issues which may have had control over us. We’re switching it round for our own benefit. Be aware of stubbornness or stubborn areas as this is also one of those not so great Taurus qualities which tends to pop up when we feel to hold onto something which may not be of any good for us.

Taurus Moon cycle highlights the tangible. It likes to make things from those ideas & motions which contain some reality & the material. Now is a great time for planting, literally & metaphysically. Energy grows where focus goes. Be patient & ready, because whatever we put our energy into now has the potential to flow effortlessly toward us. Having said that, all seeds need time to germinate & reach for the Sun out of the darkened soil. So, ground & practice patience as all good things take time to come to fruition. We reap what we sow, so think before acting. Take it slow & steady, as Taurus does.
Planetary Influences on New Moon
Venus entered Taurus on 29th April. There is an air of sensuality with these 2 encompassing our relationships. Venus is the planet of love & beauty, who is the traditional ruler of Taurus & Libra. She illuminates pleasure & love. This placement can give us a great view of the influences on our relationships at this time. Venus in Taurus also highlights money & finance, so these will play a critical role in how we appreciate the luxuries we give ourselves & our loved ones. As Venus streamlines any difficulties, we can really begin to get back to basics in our relationships & get to the root of any issues we have. We can begin to see the world through the eyes of Venus in Taurus, in its totality of absolute beauty. It’s a great time to strip back all issues with money & begin to rebuild a healthier relationship with our finances too.
New Moon Conjunct (in the same sign, sitting snug next to each other ) Uranus, in Taurus.
We may feel a little out of sorts within our emotions toward any change we may be experiencing. This may give us juxtaposing feelings of unease. Finding the balance between headspace & heartspace, which we are being offered by this New Moon in Taurus, will usher in an harmonious fulfilment. This placement can also bring about a cosmic kick up the bottom to encourage us to live our lives by embracing what is changing & being our truest self.

A cosmic congratulatory handshake! This placement urges us to keep the balance between our emotional & practical areas of life. We are experiencing a moment when our responsibilities & emotions are well balanced. We may feel much more stable than we have been in sometime. We may be exhibiting emotional maturity at this time.
