All Hail & welcome to Astro New Moon in Scorpio, partial solar eclipse & Lunar Samhain. Yes its that time again when we enter a phase of eclipse season which as we are all aware can prolong the effects of a new moon by up to 6 months! Scorpio New Moon offers us transformation, new beginnings & planting seeds of intent for the forthcoming year. Scorpio offers us much the same in new beginnings & transformation in addition to other Scorpio themes which I will discuss with you. There are also 6 aspects to this New Moon, with 1 being the untouchable dominant feminine Venus, giving us a real bubbling mix the the cauldron this month & beyond. As we are in Scorchio Scorpio season, we can expect the temperature in our personal relationships to rise. So lets get on with our journeying through the cosmic energies on offer to all who wish to feel into the force of this sensual & transformative New Moon.
New Moon
Our beautiful celestial satellite, the Moon enters New phase in Scorpio at 11:48 GMT on 25th October 2022. New Moon is all about new beginnings, planting seeds of intent for our future selves. It is the ending of a cycle & the beginning of a new month of phasing, as such will offer us a fresh outlook, new ideas & a surge of ‘lets do this’ to our energy levels. We must bear in mind that some of our new ideas will be in their raw state & will need logical consideration before being aired in public. Whatever it is this New Moon phase brings, be mindful of thoughts, feelings & actions. Deliberate where necessary & share when a logical outcome seems inevitable. As this is new moon, we can expect new beginnings in the areas highlighted or within the themes of the sign in which it sits.
Scorpio themes cover an array of personal areas. It has a lot of themes of its own, many of which are a great companion to New Moon & also Venus, who is also extremely active in Scorpio at the moment, more on that later. The main theme of Scorpio is transformation, death & rebirth. There is a call to emotional & Shamanic processes during this time to enable us to move forward with our state of consciousness, with good shadow strategy working well in our favour. We are being called to flush out those energies which have held us in stasis, to relieve ourselves of the energies in which we have dwelt for maybe too long, to release & thank the lesson, to move toward our goals. Another Scorpio theme is wealth, which could indicate a lot of money or the things we value the most. Whatever makes life better & real for us is being highlighted by Scorpio New Moon as our wealth, so pay attention to what arises in the personal sphere. In addition, Scorpio energy is about power. The power of domination, manipulation & control as well as shared power, which comes from those who have already discovered themselves & stand in their own sovereignty, wishing to help others to do the same. Of course the most obvious Scorpio theme is sex! Let us delve shall we? Lust, being the raw sexual energy & want for sexual pleasure to reach orgasm; sacred / tantric sex in which light bodies combine, which functions at a higher level of bliss. Well its all there isn’t it? Finally Scorpio rules the occult. Occult means ‘hidden’. Hidden refers to the unseen, supernatural & what exceeds the 5 senses, this can indicate mediumship, astrology, tarot, energy healing & psychic abilities. keep an ethereal eye & ear open for gentle nudges & messages as the veil thins. Pay attention to where there is illumination to any of Scorpio themes, as these will be dominant aspects to our lives over the next few months. Scorpio moon is a good time for self mastery at any of the themes mentioned in addition to paying attention & deep insight, we can work toward clearing the bad habits which hold us in stasis & discover that which we feel is missing & leads us to self destructive pursuits.
Partial Solar Eclipse always coincides with a New Moon. It is a portal to transformation. This particular New Moon partial solar eclipse is along the Taurus-Scorpio axis with a Venus influence. Think back to October 2014. What was occurring at that time? This will bring into focus or remind us of what we were experiencing at that time & could allow an insight to what is occurring now. Eclipse will highlight the emotional & financial in our lives & could present provocation in these areas. We may feel that we are ready to take on our challenges by removing that which is preventing us from being the master of our own destiny. Addiction & debts are highlighted here. In addition, we may wish to work on our intimate relationships with others & ourselves. We may see our values being tested, consider or accept the opinions of others rather than expecting all to fall under the same umbrella, or we may feel the need to share our problems with a others in order to find the help we need to accomplish our sovereignty over our situations. Intimacy is highlighted too. We can continue to work on these relationships or leave them behind for our betterment, there is a choice to be made. Financial relationships may withdraw to teach us financial independence & survival which does not rely on debt. In addition, we will have strong urges to act impulsively. Be mindful of premature over-generalisation & reaction. Be mindful of others feelings & emotions & attempt to come from confidence & the heart, rather than over reaction.
Change is a necessary part of life. It enables us to move forward to our required destination. Whether we perceive this to be a beginning or an end is really down to how much work we feel we will need to accomplish the changes required for growth & whether we are prepared to put that work into our forward motion or not, as well as whether it is a tangible part of our lives which we could do with or without. Something always ends in order for something else to begin. It is important to ‘allow’ ourselves to surrender to the flow of this newness, even if we do not recognise its true value immediately.
New Moon & Sun Conjunct Venus in Scorpio. As mentioned, we have an extremely strong presence within this lunation & eclipse. Venus, planet of love & money is less than 2° from both luminaries & brings with her the most magnetic influence of this phasing. Venus illuminates & strengthens the hurdles we face within our personal values. We may find that others want to assist more in our journeying. Our closest relationships are highlighted here. We may find that we desperately need to bring understanding to the fore. Venus wants us to open our hearts & expand to receive & give more love in our lives. She wants us to think on what it is that brings joy into our lives, what we value more than most other things & to focus on those things. Venus urges us to realise our relationship dynamics, what works & what doesn’t. With our heart open we are being encouraged to decide whether we wish to continue with certain dynamics or move on toward the new chapter awaiting us. This requires us to breakdown the structure of reciprocity within our relationships & be honest in our response to how much energy we can afford to put into them without making ourselves miserable or burning ourselves out . Be honest, brutal if we must. We have but 1 life & we are being supported by the universal flow. In addition, Venus brings Goddess energies which are so strong right now. We are being asked to welcome this force into our lives, to realise that we are sacred, beautiful beings full of compassion & creative energies.
Ahh this flow is such a welcome feeling. It will help us to navigate the strong urges, desires & sexual energies we are feeling into. It will help us to stand in our sovereignty & stand up for what we believe in, our authenticity raw & baring to mother nature in all her glory! Yes we are golden, regal & emboldened, embrace it, feel it, live it, be it!
Furthermore, with Venus on our side we are being encouraged to plant the seeds of community & understand that our connections are more fruitful when we surround ourselves with like minded, caring, supportive people who align with our own values. With Eclipse energy we will also be able to be where we are supposed to be. Trust the movement & flow, park your broom & watch as the universe gives us peace & acceptance of what is & brings us new ideas & ways to be.
