Autumn Forest
My feet tread where Hornbeam lays,
A golden carpet for me to wander,
Through golden-red paths of Chestnut & Oak,
I step, I ponder,
Meandering through the forest to one,
Who recognises my soul song,
In its presence I am humbled, by resonance,
Hand on heart I am laid long,
A deep bow in honour of this great ancestor,
whose permission to consult I seek,
Of ancient knowledge & wisdom it bestows,
I find myself meek,
My soul is splendent, my heart open,
By this joyous union,
I am blessed with Autumn’s song
In Nature’s sacred dominion.
