All Hail & welcome to Full blood Total Lunar Eclipse, AKA Flower Moon, in deeply transformative Scorpio. The Sun is in the opposite sign of steady, Earthy Taurus. This Moon is also known as a blood Moon…What is blood moon? Blood moon occurs during a full moon, when a total lunar eclipse takes place. Total lunar eclipse occurs as the Moon moves through the Earth’s umbra/ shadow, blocking the Sun’s rays from illuminating the Moon’s surface. Although some sunlight still reaches the Moon’s surface through the Earth’s atmosphere & as a result, the Moon takes on a reddish hue. Exciting huh?
This Full Moon will carry a huge amount of powerful energy which will highlight the Scorpio- Taurus polarities of; mine v yours; form v transformation; security v change & destruction leading to transformation. In addition, due to the placement of the Moon within the last 10° of Scorpio, we may also find an overlap of energies from Cancer, as the following sign the Moon will traverse. This Full Moon will present high intensity transformation (Scorpio) within our relationships (cancer) to enable us to seek the stability that we need in our lives (Taurus), for our forward motion & highest potential. Naming the Moons
This months names for the full May moon originate in many different geographical areas and reflect a variety of historical ecological and agricultural events. The Native American names for the May full moon are Flower Moon, Milk Moon, Hare Moon and Grass Moon. The Montana tribes named this moon the Idle Moon. In Canada it is known by the name of Goose Moon. In China it is the Dragon Moon. In India we are still in the month of Vaisakha, until New Moon. The British Celtic Medieval names for this moon vary according to your persuasion, two of those names are Mother’s Moon and Bright Moon. The Druidic Ogham has us in the month of the Hawthorn, Huath. This is a masculine moon also known as the Moon of Restraint, Moon of Hindrance or Summer Moon. With this full moon come the aspects of fertility, peace, prosperity and binding, making this a good time for magick designed for these aspects.

Full Moon is a time for harvesting our intentions which began at New Moon. It is an emotional time for romance, relationships & productivity. As we are gathering in our well earned rewards, we are faced with the qualities of Sun in Taurus opposing a Scorpio Moon, with huge potentiality from a Lunar eclipse which will deeply affect our emotional stability & how we perceive some of our personal relationships. I know there are a lot of questions to ask. Remember, this is deep work needing to be taken that step further to benefit us in terms of safety, security, stability & trust.
This Blood Moon, Total Lunar Eclipse is all about endings & finding closure to a particular chapter in life. The events which may occur over the next month will develop into life changing patterns. These will be decisive & related to how we act toward relationship obstacles which have been affecting us recently. This is no mean feat, it is deep inner work on a soul level which brings about huge change. This change will be for our benefit, to enable us to move forward, away from toxic binds & into our personal realms of reaching our fullest potential. Blood Moon is here to remind us of the temporary nature of everything & intuitively guide us to knowing our true path. We all have parts to play in life, so pay attention to personal niggles & intuition.
Some things come to an end quickly & others linger, hurt & maim along the way. As Full Moon is also about release , it seems a good time to work through what we want in life & release that which has seen its course. Mercury is in retrograde at the moment & needless to say , many people will feel the effects of communication deficit or miscommunication; electronics having a right laugh with us & of course the need to keep checking small details of that which is in the process of being birthed! There may be confusion around the next step to take. If so, go within, ground yourself & take a deeper look into the how’s & why’s of emotions & doubt. Time will give the answers, be patient.
Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse (FMTLE) square (hard aspect) Saturn. This is the biggy & plays a huge part in this lunation. Although there are other planetary aspects which will counteract this square, it is still good practice for me to inform of this particular squaring as it plays the undercurrent of all other aspects.
Saturn is the taskmaster of the zodiac & prefers to have us working hard toward goals by doing a job properly! Saturn can bring difficulties & austerity. It can cause delays, self doubt, criticism, detachment & grief. There may be added stress from being given more responsibilities from peers. There may be tests on personal qualities which could lead to upset, guilt & possible loneliness. Saturn gives us hard work which requires us to be adult in our actions & reactions, by using determination & patience to overcome hardship. This is an aspect which needs to be dealt with one way or another or we run the risk of continuing that which we have found difficult & deeply disturbing.
FMTLE trine (working well with ) Mars & Neptune
Mars is is our 1st helper against Saturn’s influence over this lunation. It brings us courage & the initiative to fight for what we believe in. It lends us more emotional clout which enables our ability to be more responsible & frank toward users & abusers. We can include an extra splash of charisma & sex appeal in this mixture which will help us in sharing our feelings & desires in our personal relationships.
Neptune will ease the restrictive nature of Saturn’s influence by offering us compassion & sensitivity enough to share feelings. Neptune ushers in enough inspiration to continue birthing our dreams. We may find that we are suddenly aware of more creative energy through imagination. This way we will find self expression & an ease in communicating our needs. Neptune affects our intuition & psychic awareness, so be more mindful of intuitive nags & spiritual connections. These will help us to overcome some of Saturn’s influences. Our relationships may benefit from emotional or physical understanding.
Mars conjunct Neptune (in the same sign working harmoniously). A conjunction such as this has a very powerful effect on this lunation. The negatives are possible suspicion & distrust. However, due to Mars’ trine to the FMTLE, an amicable arrangement superimposes this aspect & that of the Saturn Square. We may feel that harmonious energies add self-confidence & incentive to our drive in achieving our desires & spiritual objectives. This aspect will offer us a warrior spirit sense to our courageousness & will aid us in our fight for standing up for ourselves & our families, by guiding us to deliver justice in a peaceful non-violent manner, through manifesting kindness.
